13 thousand seedlings will be planted in the forests of Sevastopol by the end of the year
Employees of the Directorate of Specially Protected Natural Areas are working to supplement forest crops in the forests of Sevastopol, which contributes to the restoration and strengthening of the city’s forests.
In the Mekenzievskoye forestry, on an area of 6 hectares, specialists have already planted 3 thousand seedlings resistant to climate conditions: cypresses, thujas and pine trees. The Sevastopol district forestry is also planning to supplement the forest with young trees.
In total, by the end of the year, another 13 thousand seedlings will be planted on more than 21 hectares of the city’s forests.
