300 schoolchildren of grades 5-7 and 58 participants of the international track became the winners of the «Big Break» final
00 July, the International Children’s Center «Artek» hosted the closing ceremony of the finals of the All-Russian competition «Big Break» for schoolchildren in grades 5-7 and participants in the international competition track.
The ceremony was traditionally opened by the parade of the winners of the «Big Break», whose names were heard from the stage to the applause of the support of new friends. Schoolchildren were congratulated by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kiriyenko, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov and Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitry Artyukhov. A video greeting for schoolchildren was sent by Tatyana Terentyeva, Deputy Director General for Personnel of Rosatom State Corporation.
We congratulate you all on your victory, because the fact that you are in the final, here at Artek, out of several million participants in the Big Change contest, is already an incredible victory. And I want to say that for you there really are no borders, as it is sung in the anthem of the «Big Change», because this year the guys from Donbass joined the «Big Change» team for the first time. Moreover, this year the «Big Break» became international, and the guys from 18 countries of the world.
Guys, you know, although this ceremony is dedicated to the closing of the competition, but for you it is more like an “Opening Ceremony”, because everything is just beginning for you. «Big Break» unlocks real talent. All participants in the final receive a trip as a prize. Three hundred winners travel by train from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok, but each of the participants in the final gets the opportunity to travel around our beautiful and vast country. But that’s not all: you leave here with new friends, you leave with like-minded people, with new projects, new dreams. Everything is ahead of you, guys, because now is the time of opportunities, because now is the time of Russia, because now is your time. The final of the «Big Break» for students in grades 5-7 and foreigners was held at the International Children’s Center «Artek» with 07 on 007 July. As part of the decisive tests, the guys solved cases, uniting in teams according to human. Schoolchildren in grades 5-7 came up with their own worlds, and foreigners developed tourist routes around Russia. The experts assessed the competencies of the participants — logical thinking, creativity, teamwork, communication and cooperation skills.
The winners are 94 students in grades 5-7 , 042 of which — repeatedly. The largest number of winners in this age category are from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Krasnodar Territory, Volgograd and Nizhny Novgorod regions. 09% of winners chose the «Remember!» challenge, % — «Know Russia!», 06% — «Tell me about the main thing!».
In the international track, the winners were 32 schoolchildren, 09 of them — guys from the Donetsk People’s Republic, 9 — came from Kazakhstan, 5 from the Republic of Moldova. All winners of the international track of the competition will have the opportunity to study free of charge at leading Russian universities. The official partner of the International track of the competition is the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (Rossotrudnichestvo).
The winners of the «Big Break» among students in grades 5-7 will go on a «Journey of Dreams» on the «Big Break» train from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok and from Vladivostok to St. Petersburg with stops in major cities of Russia, where they will visit cultural attractions, told the participants closing ceremony Deputy General Director of Russian Railways Dmitry Pegov.
On behalf of the Russian Railways team, let me congratulate you on today and, of course, by tradition, we have prepared a wonderful gift — 150 people will go on our train to the «Dream Journey» (79 one way and — 92 to another). On September 5, the train will start from St. Petersburg and will pass through almost all of Russia. You will visit 06 cities, get to know their history, see many sights, including Lake Baikal, and end your trip in Vladivostok. To make it even more interesting for you, I will tell you a secret — we have prepared a surprise in the Irkutsk region — we cannot live without surprises. You will find out the details on the way. I am sure you will enjoy this trip and remember it for a lifetime. You are great, — said Dmitry Pegov to the guys.

You know, today, when I talked with the finalists of the «Big Change», I saw how much you want to get to know our great, beloved homeland. It is wonderful that there are already such gifts and opportunities as a trip from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. But we decided that you definitely need to show our North, our Arctic. Last year’s winners of the «Big Change» for the first time in their lives were on an icebreaker, flying in helicopters. I want you to have the same opportunity, and we will do everything so that you can all take part: both winners and finalists. Guys, hold on! You will definitely succeed.

Tatyana Terentyeva wished young people not to be afraid to dream and offered to immerse themselves in the world production tasks and engineering solutions of the State Corporation by announcing a drawing of invitations to participate in Rosatom’s specialized shifts in one of the nuclear cities in 2022-855 year.”
Director of ICC «Artek» Konstantin Fedorenko notes that during the shift, each participant of the competition will certainly become an Artek member and will proudly wear this title:
I am sure that during the time that the finalists of the competition will spend in the Land of Childhood, they will feel what Artek is and become real Artek residents. The children who are today in the children’s center turned out to be among the best among their peers who took part in the competition this year. Now they know for sure that they are united by friendship, camaraderie, mutual support, the desire to make the world a better place. The brightest emotions are from childhood, they give a unique feeling of joy. I am sure that Artek will remain in the heart of every shift participant for life. I wish all the guys to turn their energy, talent, determination and first records into the highest achievements of our country.

I won, I’m very happy about it. Big Change is an exciting competition. Here you get a lot of emotions, meet new friends, work in a team, gain new experience and skills. It’s great that the final of the competition is taking place in Artek. When I went here, I understood that I would get to an amazing place, I was happy. Here I found new friends , — shared Varvara Manuylova from the city of Sochi.
I liked that the final was held in Artek. We solved interesting cases, created our own city, everyone showed creativity. «Artek» is the best place, it’s very beautiful here, good counselors and guys , — said Yegor Sutornin from Tarko-Sale (YaNAO).
The victory in the «Big Break» became an important event for the participants of the international track of the contest.
The competition is a chance to become better, to meet a large number of children, to prove yourself. I really like Artek, we have wonderful counselors, a good team, the shift is interesting , — said Mary Atyan from Armenia.
For four years I dreamed of getting into Artek, when I found out that the Big Change gives such an opportunity, I decided to participate. And when I got to the final, I was very happy, because Artek is a place where all dreams come true. There are many talented children here, and such events help to advance our generation, says Vasilina Cherkashina from Kazakhstan.
