340 billion rubles: in Crimea, the investment portfolio in the tourism sector has grown over the year
To date, 237 investment projects are being implemented in the tourism sector in the Republic of Crimea within the Free Economic Zone and beyond, amounting to more than 340 billion rubleshe said.
In the spring of 2025, the minister reported that by that time 248 projects in the field of resorts and tourism were being implemented in the republic for a total amount of 288 billion rubles.
The largest project now is the tourist complex “Golden Sands of Russia”, which is being built between the cities of Yevpatoria and Saki. Also in Crimea, by 2030, the minister added, eight sanatorium and resort complexes with more than 2.5 thousand beds will be built.
About the project “Golden Sands of Russia”
The year-round seaside resort “Golden Sands of Russia” is the largest investment project in Crimea, which is being created on the territory of the peninsula on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. On an area of more than 230 hectares between the cities of Saki and Yevpatoria, it is planned to build 18 year-round 3-5 star hotels with a total capacity of 8 thousand rooms. The resort is scheduled to begin operations in 2030.
It is also planned that the project will include a single 12-kilometer promenade and a beach line with a bicycle path, sports, entertainment, educational facilities and public spaces. A group of investors, the main one of which is the Monolit Group of Companies, plans to invest about 130 billion rubles; the state will require an investment of about 13 billion rubles more. It is expected that Golden Sands of Russia will be able to receive 1 million tourists a year.
