38-year-old villager convicted of selling marijuana in Crimea

In Crimea, the Sovetsky District Court delivered a verdict in a criminal case against a 38-year-old local resident. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 1 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal sale of narcotic drugs).
It was established that in June last year, the defendant sold a drug to a friend — cannabis (marijuana). The court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, sentenced the man to imprisonment for a term of 4 years and 2 months, to be served in a penal colony of general regime. The verdict has not entered into force.the prosecutor’s office said.
“Life Story” is also an edification to those naive “drug agronomists” who grow “weed” at home and in their gardens, hoping to get off with a suspended sentence “for weed” …
