637 tour guides were certified in Crimea
The Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea held this year’s final certification session for guides and tour guides. Throughout the year, specialists from all over the peninsula submitted applications to undergo the procedure necessary to obtain mandatory accreditation. The work of the certification commission under the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea will continue in 2026.
At the end of 2025, 637 tour guides (guides), including 20 guides-interpreters, were certified and received badges in the Republic of Crimea. At the moment, the Republic of Crimea is in third place in Russia after Moscow and St. Petersburg in terms of the number of certified tour guides. Successful completion of certification gives the guide the legal right to conduct excursions, and the tourist to receive quality services.
Control and supervision over the activities of guides, as well as accommodation facilities, are assigned to the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea. The holiday season showed the high level of training of our guides, whose methodological school is one of the oldest and most experienced in the country. However, there are still unscrupulous participants in the process who not only have not been certified, but also do not have the necessary level of training. We plan to pay special attention to this “gray zone” in 2026— said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.
Let us remind you that students of specialized universities and colleges who have reached the age of 18 are now allowed to undergo certification. After successfully passing the certification, they will be able to conduct excursions without waiting for a diploma. Crimean tour guides can also undergo optional certification for individual municipalities.
In 2025, the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea, together with the Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Crimea, conducted training for the School of Guides streams in the areas of Inclusive Tourism and Gastronomic Tourism, which made it possible to replenish the register of certified tour guides with new personnel.
Information for passing certification is posted on website.
Let us remind you that during the New Year holidays more than 50 free events will be held in Crimea excursions.
