A burning kvass workshop was put out in Sevastopol
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Another exercise of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations took place in Sevastopol. According to the training plan, a fire occurred at the Sevastopol beverage plant in the kvass production room. The cause of the fire was an electrical failure. The fire engulfed an area of 50 square meters and cut off two workers from leaving the building.
Crews from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations and a medical team arrived at the scene in a matter of minutes. During the training, fire fighters inspected the halls of the workshop, found victims, rescued them and handed them over to doctors, discovered the source of the fire and sent guns to extinguish them, and worked on interaction with the administration of the facility.
We systematically conduct exercises at production facilities, for us this is of practical interest: each such facility contains complex technological equipment, has its own transition system, and it is important for us to gain experience in extinguishing such fires, – emphasizes Dmitry Chernozhukov, deputy head of the fire extinguishing and rescue service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations for Sevastopol.
Firefighters completed the exercise’s objectives and reminded the company’s employees about safety rules.
