A car thief was detained in Feodosia — the owner of the car was “offended” by his acquaintance on vacation

The investigation established that the men met shortly before the incident and decided to spend time together by the sea. While the owner of the car was swimming, the attacker secretly stole the keys, entered the car and stole it. However, it was not possible to go far: after driving only about 400 meters, he drove off the concrete road onto a dirt road, where he damaged his wheels on a stone. Unable to continue the journey, the man left the car, taking the key with him.

The victim independently searched for his friend for ten days. He eventually found it, returned the key and found the car damaged. In addition, money worth more than 4,000 rubles disappeared from the salon. The man did not immediately contact the police, mistakenly believing that it was impossible to file a statement without the documents left in the car.,” announced the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.

The investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Feodosia initiated criminal cases against the attacker on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 1 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The perpetrator may face a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to 5 years.

A preventive measure was chosen against the man in the form of a written undertaking not to leave the place and proper behavior.
