A Chechen was sentenced in Crimea — he decided to draw attention to his Lezginka and started… shooting
Shooting from a firearm near Lake Marble in the Bakhchisarai region resulted in a court verdict for a resident of the Chechen Republic. The Bakhchisarai District Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced the culprit to a criminal fine in the amount of half a million rubles.
The materials of the criminal case established that on 08/01/2025 in the evening, a young man, born in 2000, temporarily residing in the city of Simferopol, while in a public place near Lake Marble, deliberately fired shots into the air, using a traumatic pistol, which is a short-barreled, smooth-bore, self-loading firearm of limited destruction, thereby grossly violating public order.
At the court hearing, the defendant fully admitted guilt in the charge brought against him, explaining that he repented of his actions. He testified that he and his friends were vacationing near Lake Mramornoe. We decided to dance lezginka, and there were other people nearby. In order to attract attention, he asked a friend for his traumatic pistol, from which he fired shots into the air. He was aware that he was in a public place and gunshots could frighten— reported the press service of the court.
The court came to the conclusion that the defendant was guilty and that his actions were correctly classified under Part 2 of Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — hooliganism, that is, a gross violation of public order, expressing clear disrespect for society, committed with the use of weapons.
No civil claim was filed. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
