A competition of author’s excursions was launched in Crimea

All, without exception, certified tour guides (guides) by the Ministry of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea operating in the territory of the Republic of Crimea can take part. The main criteria for evaluating excursions will be the originality of the idea, novelty and relevance, the convenience of the excursion route in terms of movement, creativity and the use of modern technologies. And also when submitting an application, the information content, reliability of data, presentation of material, compliance with the declared topic of the competition, and vividness of presentation will be assessed. Each participant can submit no more than three different author’s excursions to the Competition. The collection of applications will last until February 4 inclusive. The results of the competition will be announced by the end of February. Excursions selected by experts for compliance with the Competition will be posted in a special section of the Tourist portal of the Republic of Crimea https://travelcrimea.comand the most read excursion will be determined based on the number of views.

The experts evaluating the author’s excursions were Deputy Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Ametkhan Tyncherov, Head of the Tourist Information Center of Crimea Lyubov Kolesnik, Chief Editor of the Tourist Portal of Crimea Svetlana Kvitko, Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism of the Vernadsky Kazan Federal University, Deputy Chairman of the Commission for Certification of Guides and Guides of the Republic of Crimea Ekaterina Lukyanenko, Director of the Office of Prospective Development of the Republic Development Corporation Crimea, Chairman of the Interregional Association for the Development of Agro-Industrial Tourism “Marat” Elena Yurchenko, tour guide, local historian, member of the Commission for Certification of Guides and Tour Guides of the Republic of Crimea Ivan Kovalenko.

Guides play a key role in presenting the region to guests, forming the first impression of Crimea. Current trends dictate the need to introduce innovative approaches and methods of presenting material to meet audience expectations. Our goal is to demonstrate that the excursion product of Crimea is relevant, to support initiative author’s projects and to present excursions that will be of interest to both guests and residents of the republic— said the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of the Republic of Crimea Sergei Ganziy.
