Earlier, the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 27-year-old resident of the village of Voykovo, who committed the murder of his mother and brother (clause “a”, part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases and the court established that on August 29, 2025, in a private house, during a family conflict, a young man stabbed his 47-year-old mother several times in the head and at least twenty times to his sleeping 23-year-old brother. The victims died on the spot from the stab wounds they received. The attacker was detained in cooperation with police officers. The investigator carried out a full range of measures aimed at establishing the circumstances and collecting evidence. According to the results of an inpatient comprehensive forensic psychological and psychiatric examination, during the commission of the crime and further, the defendant was diagnosed with a mental disorder, which deprived him of the ability to realize the actual nature of his actions,” the department’s press service reported.
Today, the court decided to apply medical measures to the man in the form of compulsory treatment in a specialized institution with intensive supervision.
