A drug dealer was detained in Yevpatoria
CrimeaPRESS reports:
During operational-search activities, employees of the drug control department of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs in the city of Yevpatoria detained a 46-year-old local resident suspected of trafficking in prohibited substances.
According to the investigation, the man gave the buyer a paper package with a plant substance and received 1,000 rubles for it. The examination confirmed that there was a narcotic drug inside — marijuana. Based on this fact, the investigative department opened a criminal case under Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (drug sales). As part of the investigation, an urgent search was carried out in the basement where the detainee was repairing bicycles. In the metal box, investigators found 47 more packages containing a substance of plant origin. The examination showed that it was cannabis with a total weight of more than 28 grams— the details of the case were announced in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
Based on this fact, the investigator opened another criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
The suspect is currently under house arrest. Investigative actions are ongoing.
