A small meteorite flew and disintegrated in the earth’s atmosphere over the eastern part of the Black Sea coast. This was reported at the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The phenomenon was observed late on Wednesday evening by residents of Krasnodar, Anapa, Novorossiysk, Rostov-on-Don, as well as in general, in settlements located in a 100-200 kilometer zone along the coastline.
In large populated areas near the eastern Black Sea coast of Russia, there were reports of mass sightings of a bright fireball. Based on the video, a small meteorite measuring several tens of centimeters (possibly up to half a meter) collapsed in the Earth’s atmosphere.the scientists wrote on Telegram.
At the same time, the Laboratory clarified that with a high probability the meteorite collapsed directly over the Black Sea.
March 9 major meteorite ranging in size from one to several meters, collapsed and fell over Europe, the Laboratory reported earlier. The object was visible in the skies over Germany, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands, astronomers listed. According to local media reports, in Germany a fallen from the sky meteorite damaged roofs of houses.
