The work of a fraudulent call center with SIM boxes was stopped in Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Federation Investigative Committee.
According to investigators, from November to December 2025, two 18-year-old residents of Tatarstan acted as part of an organized group at the direction of unidentified persons. They ensured the operation of SIM boxes for mass telephone attacks on Russian citizens in order to steal money.
To implement the scheme, the defendants came to Crimea and rented more than ten apartments in Simferopol, Yalta and Alushta, where they placed equipment, creating a distribution call center. As a result of this work, three citizens suffered damages amounting to over 3.8 million rubles.
The perpetrators were detained, and as part of the investigation, SIM boxes and mobile phones of the accused were confiscated.
Currently, investigators are carrying out a set of measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and other accomplices in the crime.the message says.
