Sevastopol operatives detained a resident of Perm suspected of stealing household appliances from a private house.
Returning home in the evening, a resident of Sevastopol found traces of penetration into the home and loss of property, so he turned to the police.
The police established the involvement in the theft of a 26-year-old resident of Perm, previously convicted of theft, who arrived in Sevastopol and got a job as a laborer at a construction site. Since the visiting builder did not have enough money for entertainment, he decided to get them illegally: noticing that the owner was absent from a private household near his place of work for a long time, the suspect with an ax squeezed out the plastic window and climbed inside the dwelling.
After searching the house, the attacker stole a camera, an angle grinder and an electric screwdriver with a total value of about 20 thousand rubles and disappeared. He sold the stolen household appliances to a thrift store, and bought alcohol with the proceeds.— told details in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
As a result of operational-search activities, the criminal investigation department of the Severnoye police department detained the suspect. A criminal case was initiated against the detainee under part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft”), he faces up to 6 years in prison. The man was detained under Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
