A landslide intensified in the southern coastal village of Foros
A landslide in the southern coastal village of Foros was recorded back in the 80s, but from time to time it makes itself felt with cracks in the retaining walls. And now they have appeared.
The head of the Yalta administration, Yanina Pavlenko, examined the areas most prone to landslides in the area of Severnaya Street together with the director of the Crimean Republican Seismic Hazard Assessment Center Tatyana Gorelova, a representative of the Investment and Construction Department of the Republic, the first deputy head of the administration, Evgenia Bavykina, the head of the Foros Territory Organ, Maria Romanova, and residents of the village .
Preliminary conclusion: it makes no sense to “cover up” the cracks now and start cosmetic repairs.
The problem is complex, it is pointless to solve it pointwise. The seismic hazard assessment center will calculate the approximate cost of the survey and determine exactly where and how to respond in order to stop the process. And only after that you can talk about any design— said Yanina Pavlenko.
Forosskaya Street Severnaya is now under the control of specialists.
