The magnetic storm will begin on Earth by Tuesday evening and on Wednesday morning will reach the G3-G4 level (strong and very strong storm). This was reported by specialists from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences. So, according to the graphs, published on the official website of the institution, until six o’clock in the evening on November 11, the geomagnetic situation will be calm with minor disturbances. Then cosmic disturbances will begin to grow and until noon on Wednesday, November 12, a magnetic storm will rage on Earth.
Geomagnetic situation — at the end of the day (Moscow time) magnetic storms of level G1-G2 are expected with a possible peak of G3-G4 tomorrow November 12says the forecast for the day.
According to laboratory staff, flare activity remains at a very high level with significant risks for the Earth. During the day, about 15 flares occurred on the Sun, including a high-level event.
The day before, the leading specialist of the FOBOS weather center, Mikhail Leus, also warned that plasma cloud after a powerful flare on the Sun will provoke a magnetic storm on Earth.
