A magnetic storm is expected on Earth on Saturday, April 18. This was reported on the website of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
According to the above graph, the geomagnetic background will begin to increase from Friday evening, and by 6 am on Saturday, the cosmic storm caused by the impact of the next coronal hole on the Sun will reach the G2 level (average magnetic storm). According to the forecast, magnetic fluctuations will begin to subside in the afternoon and the storm will end by 16:00.
In the next three days, according to scientists, the geomagnetic background will be increased.
