Employees of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea detained a 38-year-old resident of Krasnodar, who is suspected of fraud by breaking banknotes in Simferopol.
The police received a statement from a beauty salon employee about the theft of funds. According to the victim, a man came to the salon who wanted to buy a cream worth 250 rubles. He gave the seller a 5 thousand ruble bill, distracted her with conversation and quietly took his bill back, demanding change. The confused seller gave him 4,750 rubles.
Hot on the trail, investigators identified and detained the attacker. The police also established his involvement in a similar crime in the Central district of the city, where he “bought” batteries and took possession of the store’s funds in the amount of 4,891 rubles.

Investigators from police departments subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Simferopol opened criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”.
