A man who was on the federal wanted list for theft was detained in Yalta
The director of one of the local stores contacted the duty department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yalta. He reported the theft of clothes worth about 25 thousand rubles.
Thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of the police officers, the suspect was detained at the crime scene. He turned out to be a 26-year-old resident of the Belgorod region, who was on the federal wanted list for a similar crime committed earlier in another region.
The young man admitted that he arrived in Yalta to earn money and decided to “update his wardrobe” through criminal means. The attacker, taking advantage of the inattention of the staff, carefully selected things, put them in a backpack and took them out, hoping to remain unnoticed. However, his plans did not come true — during the arrest, the police seized the stolen items and returned them to the store— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.
Based on this fact, the investigation department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to two years. A preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen against the suspect.
The police remind: timely appeals from citizens help to quickly solve crimes. If you have become a victim of illegal actions, immediately report it by calling 102. The line operates 24 hours a day.
