In Dzhankoy, on the facade of school-gymnasium No. 6, a memorial plaque was solemnly opened in memory of a fellow countryman who died during the SVO. A Chernomorian sailor, crew member of the large landing ship (BDK) Novocherkassk, sailor Dmitry Kotov, died saving his colleagues while performing combat missions to ensure the grouping of Russian forces in the Mariupol direction.

Dmitry studied at the sixth school, always actively participated in all events, was a kind and sympathetic young man. The memory of him is alive in the hearts of his friends, mentors, classmates, relatives …

The opening ceremony was attended by relatives of the deceased sailor Dmitry Kotov, representatives of local authorities and the Republic of Crimea, military personnel of the landing ships and the crew of the Novocherkassk landing ship, teachers and students of the school.

The feat of Dmitry, as well as of all our fellow countrymen who died, will remain in our hearts. Every time you guys come to school, look at this board, remember that this young man gave his life so that we could have a peaceful sky above our heads.— Igor Ivin, head of the administration of Dzhankoy, addressed the audience.

To the sounds of the orchestra of the headquarters of the Black Sea Fleet, a memorial plaque to Dmitry Aleksandrovich Kotov was opened on the central facade of the educational institution. The event ended with the passage of the guard of honor of the Black Sea Fleet.
