A military court will consider the case of five residents of Crimea who planned to seize power

A criminal case against five residents of the Republic of Crimea, who are accused of preparing a violent seizure of power, was submitted to the Southern District Military Court. A court representative reported this to TASS.
The case against Kurtnezirov, Tazhibaev, Smedlyaev, Mustafaev, Ablaev was brought to court, they are accused under Part 2 of Art. 205.5 (participation in the activities of a terrorist organization), part 1 of Art. 30 — Art. 278 (preparation for a violent seizure of power) of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federationsaid the agency’s interlocutor.
According to investigators, from August 2023 to February 2025, in the village of Dzhankoy district of Crimea, the accused, being members of a cell of a terrorist organization, studied extremist literature and discussed the need to seize state power.
They were detained by employees of the Russian FSB department for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, together with employees of the Russian FSB border department for the Republic of Crimea.
