A monument was unveiled on the Walk of Fame in the Pristensky district in honor of the employees of the combined pyrotechnic detachment of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations who died in the line of duty.
On July 14, while clearing mines in the Pristensky district, the lives of Sevastopol emergency department employees Sergei Ivanov and Reshat Mediev were cut short. They carried out their last mission on Kursk soil together. Both heroes were awarded the Order of Courage posthumously. Their colleagues brought a stone from the Sevastopol Gasfort Mountain to the Kursk region, which was crowned with a memorial plaque. The head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Kursk Region, Ivan Lunev, helped implement the idea.
