A mosque is being built in the Crimean village of Vostochnoye

A mosque is not just a house of prayer, it is a center of spiritual life, a place for communication and community support. We hope that this religious building will become important for all of us, a place where our traditions and values will be strengthened,” emphasized Emir-Asan Umerov.
The chief imam of the district, Mustafa Mustafayev, thanked all those present for participating in this important event and congratulated the villagers on the start of construction.
The village is home to 65 Crimean Tatar families, which is more than half the population. The new mosque will accommodate 100 people.
The event was also attended by distinguished guests, Chairman of the Sovetsky District Council Victoria Gritsai, Head of the Ilyichevsky Village Council Tatyana Levenenko, Chairman of the Muslim communities of the district Eden Umerov, Head of the sector for interethnic relations of the MKU “Department of Culture and Interethnic Relations of the Administration of the Sovetsky District of the Republic of Crimea” Edem Ablyazov, imams of the district and other representatives of the community.
After the foundation was poured, the participants celebrated the event with refreshments, which added an atmosphere of unity and joy to this event that was significant for the entire community.
