A resident of Bakhchisaray will pay a fine of 50 thousand rubles for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces

The maximum administrative fine of 50,000 rubles was imposed on a resident of Bakhchisaray for discrediting the Russian Armed Forces. This was reported by the press service of the Bakhchisarai district court.
On May 21, 2023, at 22:30, a local resident, born in 1974, while in one of the bars in the city of Bakhchisaray, used foul language against the actions of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. At the hearing, the man admitted his guilt in full and claimed that he supported Russia’s actions regarding the conduct of a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine.
The court considered that the guilt of the offender in committing an administrative offense had been proven and his actions were subject to qualification under Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation as public actions aimed at discrediting the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in order to protect the interests of the Russian Federation and its citizens, to maintain international peace and security. The man was given the maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of Part 1 of Art. 20.3.3 Administrative Code of the Russian Federationthe message says.
It is emphasized that administrative punishment is applied in order to prevent the commission of new offenses, both by the offender himself and by other persons. The decision has not entered into force.
