In Simferopol, the court heard a criminal case against a local resident who was found guilty of illegal possession of drugs without the intent to sell.
According to the case file, in August 2024, a man discovered a wild hemp bush. He picked parts of the plant, took them to his home and kept them for personal use until his arrest.
During operational activities, police officers seized 158 grams of narcotic drugs from him, which was confirmed by an examination.
Taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, the court sentenced the convict to 3 years and 9 months of imprisonment to be served in a high-security correctional colony— reported the press service of the Crimean prosecutor’s office.
The verdict has not currently entered into legal force and can be appealed in accordance with the established procedure.
