A resident of the Dzhankoy district is suspected of possession of prohibited substances

During the bypass of the administrative district, the district police officers received information that a 36-year-old resident of the Dzhankoy district may be involved in the illegal storage of hazardous substances. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
When examining the local area, the police officers found a cylindrical object similar in appearance to a fragment of the body of an anti-tank grenade, two cylindrical metal objects of the same type are outwardly similar to the bodies of the VOG-17 grenade launcher. The results of the examination confirmed that the objects submitted for examination are hazardous substances: RDX and TNTthe message says.
The investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Dzhankoisky» initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices). The maximum punishment provided for by the sanction of the article is imprisonment for up to eight years.
The police reminds of the criminal liability for the illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices. Illegally stored weapons, ammunition, prohibited substances can be voluntarily handed over to law enforcement officers.
