A dangerous find was discovered by police in the trunk of a car of a resident of the Dzhankoy region. Rusty ammunition from the Great Patriotic War is still a threat, so the Crimean is endangering himself and his fellow villagers. The man explained to the police that he had found these items on a farm in the village of Mayskoye, and loaded them into a car in order to sell them for scrap later.
The Dzhankoysky Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum punishment of up to eight years in prison. A preventive measure in the form of a written undertaking not to leave was chosen for the attacker— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The police reminds of the criminal liability for the illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, ammunition, explosives and explosive devices. Illegally stored weapons, ammunition can be voluntarily handed over to the police.
