A resident of Yevpatoriya was convicted of trying to bribe a traffic police officer

The prosecutor’s office of Yevpatoriya supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a local resident. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 3 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempt to give a bribe).
It was established that the convict at the end of December last tried to bribe a traffic police officer for not bringing him to administrative responsibility for driving while intoxicated, but was refused.the prosecutor’s office said.
The guilty person was sentenced to 2 years in prison, which was applied conditionally with a probationary period of 3 years. The subject of the bribe — 20 thousand rubles, was confiscated to the state.
