A Sevastopol resident came to Simferopol and “took it out” to a local resident
CrimeaPRESS reports:
A 67-year-old pensioner contacted the Simferopol police, who temporarily left his home, but continued to visit there to maintain order.
However, during his last visit, he discovered that expensive household appliances had disappeared from his home — a boiler and a washing machine, as well as valuable metal structures: a fence, a gate, a canopy and vine arches. The total damage caused to the house exceeded 40 thousand rubles. Employees of OP No. 2 “Kyiv” of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Simferopol promptly responded to the statement and quickly detained the suspect. He turned out to be a 47-year-old man, previously convicted several times, living in Sevastopol. The attacker admitted to the crime, explaining that he decided to steal due to financial difficulties. He took advantage of the absence of the owners and stole property belonging to the husband of his distant relative. He handed over the stolen metal structures to a scrap metal collection point and spent the proceeds on alcohol, — The details of the case were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
A criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Theft”, which provides for punishment of up to 6 years in prison. The defendant is currently in custody and an investigation is underway.
