A Sevastopol resident kept hexogen and an explosive device at home

The prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol approved an indictment in a criminal case against a local resident born in 1954.

He is charged under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, carrying and storage of explosives and explosive devices). According to investigators, the pensioner stored at his place of residence an electric detonator and a briquette of hexogen weighing almost 700 g, which in TNT equivalent is about 1 kg, suitable for explosion.
