A Simferopol resident will answer for the murder of an acquaintance in 2022 and concealment of his body

The investigation department for the Simferopol region established that on one day in March 2022, a man and a neighbor were drinking alcoholic beverages in the courtyard of a household in the Urozhainensky rural settlement. A verbal conflict between friends escalated into a fight, during which the attacker struck his friend several times on the head; the victim died from a closed head injury. To hide traces of the crime, the man buried the body on the property and soon moved out of the rented house.

The villager was put on the wanted list at the request of his relatives as a missing person, and law enforcement agencies were working to find him. In April of this year, a resident of the Simferopol region, who rented this property, received a message about the discovery of human remains, which he found while weeding his garden.,” the department’s press service reported.

Investigators and forensic investigators, in collaboration with colleagues from the police, quickly established the identity of the unknown man, worked out his connections and contacts, carried out significant work to solve this murder, and detained a suspect in its commission.

The investigation has collected a sufficient evidence base. The criminal case has been sent to court for consideration on the merits.
