A Yevpatorian citizen was arrested for a bribe — he tried to give an FSB officer 1.8 million rubles
Previously, security forces recorded illegal actions of a Yevpatorian citizen in the field of illegal migration, for which a procedural decision should be made in the future. Wanting to avoid criminal liability, he met with an operative officer in his office and gave him a bribe in the amount of 1.8 million rubles. He was caught red-handed.
The Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, based on the results of activities carried out in cooperation with colleagues from the republican department of the FSB of Russia, opened a criminal case against a 33-year-old resident of Evpatoria. He is accused of giving a bribe to an official on an especially large scale (Part 5 of Article 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)the message says.
The defendant is in custody. He admitted his guilt. The criminal investigation continues.
Earlier, a 46-year-old resident of Simferopol received a million dollar fine for trying to bribe an intelligence officer.
