A young Crimean woman was trying to make quick money. I ended up losing money
Recently, more and more people are interested in the world of digital currencies, attracted by the promises of quick riches. However, along with new opportunities, this area also attracts scammers who take advantage of the inexperience of gullible citizens.
A 19-year-old girl from Simferopol became a victim of such a scam. A stranger wrote to her in one of the messengers, offering to invest money in cryptocurrency with a guarantee of high profits. Having convinced her of the reliability of the transaction, he persuaded her to transfer 35 thousand rubles to the specified account. As soon as the money was received, the scammer disappeared, leaving the girl with nothing. Realizing that she had been deceived, the victim contacted the police.
Police warning! Any offers related to cryptocurrency and accompanied by promises of quick or guaranteed profits are a red flag and may indicate a fraudulent scheme— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
Don’t trust strangers or suspicious sites, especially if they require urgent money transfers.
Be vigilant and critically evaluate offers — this is the best protection against financial losses.
