A 70-year-old local resident contacted the duty unit of the Yalta police with a message about the attack. Story. Which the victim told the law enforcement officers is surprising, but, considering all the circumstances, there is no didactics in it in the «bottom line», on the contrary, there is only one crime.

Arriving at the specified address, the police called an ambulance and began to clarify the circumstances of the incident. During the proceedings, it turned out that the victim, along with his granddaughter, was visiting a friend, where, while drinking alcohol, a conflict arose between men. Realizing that the comrades could not come to an agreement in any way and the quarrel intensified, the victim’s granddaughter struck her grandfather several times with a hammer on the head. The police detained a 25-year-old relative of the victim, previously … already convicted of a similar crime.

The victim was hospitalized in the surgical department of the city hospital with a diagnosis of a closed craniocerebral injury.

The Department of Inquiry OP No. 2 «Livadiysky» of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Yalta initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“intentional infliction of minor bodily harm”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to two years.
