Aksyonov sued a blogger and an online publication for 900 thousand rubles of «compensation for moral damage»
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Belogorsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea considered the claim for the protection of the honor, dignity and business reputation of Sergey Aksyonov. The court recognized the information posted by blogger Ilya Bolshedvorov and LLC Notes as untrue and discrediting the honor, dignity and business reputation of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov, and ordered the defendants to delete ten publications posted on the Internet, publish a refutation and pay the plaintiff in total 900 thousand rubles as compensation for non-pecuniary damage. This was reported by the press service of the Belogorsk District Court.
The plaintiff filed a lawsuit after six publications posted on the Internet by a blogger and four more publications published by Notes (with reference to the blogger). According to the plaintiff, the materials published in the period 2017-2018 did not correspond to reality, contained discrediting information about him , — noted in message.
Based on the results of the trial, the court came to the conclusion that the claims are subject to partial satisfaction:
— the blogger is obligated to remove publications posted on the Internet containing discrediting information about the plaintiff, publish a refutation and pay the plaintiff 450 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage.
— Notes Limited Liability Company is obliged to remove publications posted on the Internet containing defamatory information about the plaintiff, publish a refutation and pay the plaintiff 450 thousand rubles in compensation for moral damage.
The reaction of the parties to the trial is still unknown. We venture to assume that the court decision will be appealed, and the parties are waiting for a new court.
