Alcohol dictates: a Sevastopol resident “leaked” gasoline from someone else’s car because he needed fuel. And then theft

CrimeaPRESS reports:

It was established that a 25-year-old resident of Crimea came to the hero city to earn money. Having parked his car near the hostel in which he lived, the man safely went to rest after his work shift. At this time, a 21-year-old Sevastopol resident was walking nearby, having drunk too much the day before. Under the influence of alcohol, the man decided that he urgently needed fuel for his car, but he didn’t plan to buy it.

Seeing a lone vehicle near his home, the attacker came up with the idea to drain the gasoline. To do this, he took with him several five-liter plastic bottles, which contained 20 liters of fuel. When the containers were already filled and the man was about to leave, it suddenly turned out that the car was not locked, and there were many useful things inside. So, in addition to gasoline, two cases with tools, a hookah, a car pump and a charger for a total amount of about 8 thousand rubles became criminal loot. Having taken the property, the man retreated to his garage, where he left the stolen goods.

In the morning, the owner of the car realized that the tank was empty, there were no usual things in the cabin, which means he had become a victim of a crime. The man contacted the police for help. — the details of the incident were announced by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Sevastopol.

Operatives from OP No. 1 “Northern” of the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Nakhimovsky district moved to the scene to establish all the circumstances of the incident. Imagine the surprise of the police when one of the witnesses suddenly decided to admit that it was he who committed the theft, and also gave away everything stolen, including bottles of gasoline.
