“All achievements over 12 years as part of Russia are the result of joint work and support of the entire country” — Yuri Gotsanyuk
Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk took part in a meeting of the Federation Council Committee on Rules and Organization of Parliamentary Activities, dedicated to the topic “Integration processes in the reunified constituent entities of the Russian Federation: problems and prospects.” In his speech, the Chairman of the Government of Crimea spoke about the key results of the development of Crimea since 2014.
Today Crimea demonstrates development rates that are ahead of the Russian average,” Yuri Gotsanyuk emphasized.
The gross regional product in comparable prices increased 1.4 times and exceeded 823 billion rubles. In terms of economic growth dynamics, the republic ranks 6th among the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The budget’s own revenues increased more than 6 times — from 25.7 billion to 160.8 billion rubles.
Over 12 years, almost 2.2 trillion rubles have been invested in the economy, more than half of which is private investment. This made it possible to create modern production facilities and about 100 thousand new jobs. Unemployment fell from 7.2% to 2% — below the Russian average. A record 276 thousand SMEs were registered. Within the framework of the SEZ, 1,349 projects are being implemented with investments of more than 275 billion rubles. Industrial production increased 2.5 times.
The agro-industrial complex received over 30 billion rubles of support: sown areas increased by 1.2 times, milk production by 4 times, aquaculture by 7.6 times. The issue of places in kindergartens has been completely resolved. More than 130 thousand people received high-tech medical care, 390 first aid stations and outpatient clinics were built in rural areas.
Over 12 years, Crimea was visited by over 74 million tourists. Almost 6 thousand km of roads were built and repaired, more than 2 thousand km of water supply networks were updated, gasification reached 83.8%. Over 2,600 courtyards and public spaces have been landscaped, about 700 children’s and multifunctional playgrounds have been installed, 9 recreational centers and about a thousand sports grounds have been built, and 24 wastewater treatment plants are being reconstructed.
All the achievements we have achieved are the result of the joint work of federal, regional authorities and society. The Crimean integration model is now successfully scaling up in new regions. This success would not have been possible without the personal support of the President of Russia Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, the help of the Parliament and the Government of Russia. We never felt alone with our problems. They knew: behind us is a huge countrysaid Yuri Gotsanyuk.
