All the same, they will find and imprison — why? In Alushta, in hot pursuit, the theft of money from a car was revealed

The duty unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in Alushta received a message from a 39-year-old resident of one of the settlements of the Alushta region about the theft of money from a car. The applicant specified that he had parked the vehicle in front of the house and left, leaving the door unlocked. Returning some time later, the man discovered the loss of money from the purse, which was in the cabin.
During the operational-search activities, the criminal investigation officers managed to hot pursuit to identify the suspect. It turned out to be a 44-year-old fellow villager of the victim with no previous convictions. Police officers found the intruder near the scene and during the inspection found the stolen money on him. The man confessed and told the police that he was passing by a vehicle parked at a private household, which attracted his attention. Finding that the car doors were not locked, he entered the salon, pulled out money from someone else’s purse and fled the scene of the crime. Thus, the attacker caused damage to the victim for a total amount of more than 8,000 rubles, — announced the details of the case in the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Crimea.
The suspect was detained by employees of the internal affairs bodies, the stolen property was confiscated, the damage to the victim was compensated in full.
The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Alushta initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation — theft, that is, the secret theft of someone else’s property. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to five years. With respect to the suspect, a measure of restraint in the form of a written undertaking not to leave was chosen.
