Almost 300 patients visited the Sevastopol Blood Center in a week
During the week, 286 people visited the Sevastopol Blood Center. Among them, 17 people crossed the threshold of a donor institution for the first time. Every blood donation is a real chance of salvation for patients in city hospitals.
Another significant event was the addition of the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors. Two Sevastopol residents underwent typing and entered the database, giving hope to patients with cancer and severe hematological diseases to find a compatible donor for transplantation. Let us remind you that one standard whole blood donation can be divided into several components, and one donor in one visit can potentially help three patients at once— note the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.
