Almost 37.5 billion rubles were allocated to finance the social and cultural sphere of Crimea
Over the 4 months of 2026, almost 37.5 billion rubles from the budget of the Republic of Crimea were allocated to financial support for sectors of the social and cultural sphere. Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko clarified that compared to the same period in 2025, financial support increased by 14% or 4.6 billion rubles.
The Republic fulfills all its obligations to support our residents, all payments are made on time and in full– commented the head of the financial department.
Financing of the Education industry amounted to 13.7 billion rubles, which is 16.0% more than the same period in 2025. All expenses are aimed at ensuring wages and expenses of preschool and general education institutions of the republic, including the organization of free hot meals for students in grades 1-4.
12 billion rubles were spent to support healthcare (7.8% more than the same period in 2025). Half of these funds are used to pay insurance premiums for compulsory medical insurance for the non-working population of the peninsula, and to implement measures for preferential drug provision.
Social policy was financed in the amount of 10 billion rubles. Of these, 85% of the funds were allocated for social payments to Crimeans.
A little more than 1 billion rubles were allocated for the development of culture in 4 months.
Almost 800 million rubles were spent to implement youth policy, physical education and sports. They are aimed at carrying out activities for the comprehensive development of youth, realizing their potential and forming a positive civic position for young people, as well as activities to involve the population in physical education and sports.
In total, expenses of the republican budget for the first four months amounted to 73 billion rubles, of which more than 51% was aimed at supporting the social block, and this does not take into account capital investments. This fact allows us to say that caring for our citizens remains a priority for the leadership of the republic, — summed up Irina Kiviko.
