An attempt to deliver a large batch of prohibited items was thwarted in Simferopol Detention Center No. 1

During the implementation of operational information at the checkpoint for the passage of vehicles in SIZO-1, employees of the own security department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol detained a car driver who tried to bring a large batch of prohibited items into the territory of the institution.
The offender turned out to be a 33-year-old resident of the Simferopol region. As a result of the search of his transport, items hidden in a clever way were found and seized in the back: 4 chargers, 4 USB cables, 2 micro SD memory cards, 1 USB flash drive, 2 pairs of wireless headphones, 4 ceramic knives and 2 forehead lantern. Based on this fact, materials on an administrative offense were drawn up against a man. In accordance with Article 19.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation, for an attempt to transfer prohibited items to persons held in a pre-trial detention center, a fine of up to five thousand rubles will be imposed on a citizen.
