An attempt to distribute a large batch of “salt” was stopped in Dzhankoy
During operational-search activities, employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Dzhankoisky» detained a 35-year-old resident of the Pervomaisky district, suspected of attempting to sell prohibited substances.
On one of the city streets of the city of Dzhankoy, law enforcement officers detained a man who tried to get rid of seven small packages by throwing them into the local area. The items, wrapped in black film and placed in a paper envelope, contained a substance with small crystals. The examination confirmed that the packages contained the narcotic drug N-methylephedron, the so-called “salt,” with a total weight of 13.68 grams. The investigation established that the defendant ordered the drug through the shadow segment of the Internet. After that, he took the goods from the forest belt and packaged them into smaller portions, intending to sell them by organizing caches with “bookmarks”,” the department’s press service reported.
The investigator of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia «Dzhankoisky» opened a criminal case under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Attempt at illegal sale of narcotic drugs, committed on a large scale.” The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 10 to 20 years.
