An extended reception on children’s rights was held in Sevastopol
In accordance with the decision of the Government Commission on the implementation of the Federal Law of November 21, 2011 No. 324-FZ “On Free Legal Aid in the Russian Federation”, since 2013, the All-Russian Day of Legal Assistance for Children has been held annually on World Children’s Day in the Russian Federation.
On November 20, 2025, the Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the city of Sevastopol organized a joint reception of citizens on issues of children’s rights within the framework of the All-Russian Day of Legal Assistance for Children, in which representatives of various departments took part: the Department of Education and Science, the Department of Health, the Commission for Minors, the Department of Labor and Social Protection, the Prosecutor’s Office, the Investigative Committee, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Bailiff Service, the Ministry of Justice, the Pension Fund, the Social Insurance Fund and the City Notary Chamber.
Olga Kalenkovich, President of the Notary Chamber of the city of Sevastopol, took part in an extended reception on issues related to the protection of the rights and legitimate interests of children and family relations at the site of the Office of the Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the city of Sevastopol (Lenin Street, building 33).
Marina Peschanskaya, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Sevastopol: opening the event, said:
There are such statements when neighbors, other people, distant ones, especially divorced parents, grandparents, write appeals, understanding only their side and the resentment towards the other side. Your personal relationships cannot affect your children. Both father and mother are important for a child. And it is important that a child has both a father and a mother throughout his life.
10 citizens applied for personal assistance (3 of them remotely). Parents were also able to contact specialists with questions and problems regarding social security and legal assistance. For each request, qualified legal assistance was provided in the form of consultations; in some cases, issues requiring additional consideration and action were taken up by individual departments. Over several years, this format of meetings has proven itself to be convenient and effective.
