An ice complex for figure skating is being built in the Saki district

In the Saki region, the construction of an ice complex is in full swing. As specified in the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, the Sports Arena in the village of Uyutnoye is being built as part of a public-private partnership between the Republic of Crimea and Ilya Averbukh.

To date, the facility is at the finish line, the contractor has completed all construction and installation work, now work is underway on interior decoration, preparation of the base for ice, arrangement of internal engineering networks, specialized equipment and arrangement of internal premises— said the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Svetlana Maslova.

Ilya Averbukh has already recruited staff for the opening and operation of the sports school. The best qualified trainers have been selected to teach and develop winter sports in the region.

Svetlana Maslova said that a subsidy is allocated for free attendance of classes for a certain number of children who are selected and enrolled in groups. To date, about 400 children who want to practice figure skating or hockey have enrolled in the school.

On a budgetary basis, athletes who have reached the age of 6 and older can participate, which is provided for by federal standards in figure skating. All children under the age of 6 study on a paid basis.
