Not the first in recent times when a video from social networks violating traffic rules becomes the basis for punishing the violator. Another road «misadventure» happened in Simferopol. Internet users complained about a car driver who did not let a female pedestrian pass at an unregulated pedestrian crossing.
May 22, at 17:08 in Simferopol on the street. Kalinina near d. 54, the driver, driving a KIA Optima car, did not comply with the requirements of the Traffic Rules to give way to pedestrians. Employees of the OGIBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the city of Simferopol quickly identified the offender and detained him. The car was driven by a 47-year-old local resident.
For this violation, the man was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 12.18 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (Failure to provide an advantage in traffic to pedestrians or other road users)— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.
The violator was sentenced to an administrative fine in the amount of 1,500 rubles.
