In Crimea, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirovsky District completed the investigation of a criminal case against a 27-year-old local resident accused of illegal activities related to drug trafficking.

During the investigation, it was established that a resident of the Kirovsky district purchased hemp seeds on the Internet site, which he germinated in a separate room, creating special conditions for this. From the grown drug plants, the attacker tore off the leaves and inflorescences, dried them, thereby obtaining the drug cannabis (marijuana)— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

As a result of a complex of operational-search measures, employees of the drug control department in the basement at the place of residence of the suspect found 50 hemp bushes in polymer buckets with soil. The owner hid two packages with dried parts of the narcotic plant in a neighboring area between reinforced concrete slabs. The total weight of the dry drug potion was 1 kilogram 688 grams.

According to the suspect, he cultivated a cannabis plantation for the purpose of «preparing a drug for joint pain.»

Currently, the materials of the criminal case initiated by the investigative department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Kirovsky District on the grounds of the corpus delicti under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, manufacture, processing of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances or their analogues, as well as illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of plants containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances, or parts thereof containing narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances ), part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal cultivation on a large scale of plants containing narcotic substances) were sent to the prosecutor’s office of the Kirovsky district.
