Another storm warning in the Crimea: strong gusty winds expected

The Ministry of Emergency Situations has extended a storm warning about dangerous hydrometeorological phenomena in Crimea to and 11 January. The good news is that it will get warmer (up to +8-9 C), the bad news is that a strong wind is expected.
According to the «Crimean Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring», in the afternoon of January, during the day 20 January in the Crimea is expected to strengthen the southeast, east wind -15 m / s, in some places gusts up to 10 m / s , the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea reported. — There is a high probability of emergency situations caused by accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, there may be violations of transport communication, difficulty in the movement of motor vehicles on roads, especially in sections of mountain passes.
Rescuers pay attention, with gusts of wind, billboards, weakly reinforced structures, trees may fall, and power lines are also likely to break.

20 The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Crimea recommends observing security measures : 20- exclude access to the mountain-forest area;
— refrain from going to the sea and inland waters;
— when on the street, pay attention to the integrity of overhead power lines, contact networks of electric transport and tree branches;
— do not stay and do not park vehicles near billboards, weakly reinforced structures, power lines and trees;
— do not go to the embankments and bank protection structures;
— drivers of motor vehicles, if it is impossible to restrict exit, to be extremely careful on the road, not to exceed the speed limit and strictly observe the rules of the road;
In case of bad weather, pay special attention to the safety of children and the elderly, be attentive to others.
