As part of the medical examination, the health of more than 180 thousand Sevastopol residents was checked

During a staff meeting of the Government of Sevastopol chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, acting. O. Director of the city health department Vitaly Denisov reported on the progress of clinical examination and preventive medical examinations of the adult population.

To date, more than 180 thousand medical examinations of the adult population and over 18 thousand preventive examinations have been carried out. More than 52 thousand people have already undergone reproductive health examinations, — The press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes a specialist.

As a result of examinations, diseases were identified in the early stages. Cardiovascular diseases take first place among newly diagnosed diseases (more than 4 thousand cases). In addition, 288 cases of cancer and more than 600 cases of diabetes were identified. All patients are taken under dispensary observation, and if necessary, they are prescribed preferential medications.

Clinical examination is carried out not only in clinics, but also at paramedic and obstetric stations. More than 11 thousand examinations were carried out in rural areas. For the convenience of working citizens, medical teams have organized visits to enterprises where more than four thousand employees have already been examined, — emphasized the acting head of the relevant department.

Special attention is paid to preventive examinations of children — over 10 months more than 71 thousand examinations were carried out.

In total, in 2025 it is planned to carry out more than 340 thousand medical examinations of adults and children.

In addition, the vaccination campaign continues in the city. More than 110 thousand doses were purchased using funds allocated from the budget, which allows maintaining high rates and coverage of the population with preventive vaccinations.
