Athletes of Sevastopol can apply for assignment of a sports category through State Services

Sports categories are assigned or confirmed based on the results of performances at official sports competitions and physical education events, if the athlete has shown high results. Since the beginning of 2026, over 200 applications have been submitted for the assignment of a sports category, of which 79% were submitted electronically.

Athletes no longer need to independently prepare a package of documents to confirm their achievements — the physical education and sports organization will do this for them. Completing an application remotely significantly saves time, and the application interface is convenient and understandable to everyone. You can track the status of your application in real time and see all stages of its processing,” noted Deputy Head of the Digital Region Development Department of the Digital Development Department Angelina Burovtsova.

Sevastopol athletes can submit electronic requests for assignment of the following categories:

candidate master of sports;
first sports category.

The period for providing the service is 19 working days.
