In particular, in the appeal, Franchetti is accused of creating organized criminal groups, the purpose of which was «organization of sabotage and armed attacks on Ukrainian government forces, the population of Ukraine and critical infrastructure“to contribute to the return of Crimea and Sevastopol to Russia. For this, he could face up to 15 years in prison, the TV channel reports.

In October 2022, the Prague court issued a verdict of not guilty and announced that Franchetti could leave the country, after which he returned in Russia. In Sevastopol, his daughter is growing up.
